An aerobic exercise machine for the elderly and wheelchair users
The BE-Well series“Cross Step”and“Recumbent Bike”models are aerobic exercise machines with improved safety. They are equipped with a backrest that minimizes the need to straddle the equipment.
It can also be used in an additional configuration for wheelchair users.
The compact design makes it suitable for smaller people and allows a variety of exercises to be performed in
a limited space.

Full-body exercise suitable for the elderly and people wishing to improve leg strength
The motion of the handle levers and foot pedals are interlocked and the optional functions can be used to enable full-body and upper/lower limb coordination exercises for people with partial paralysis.
- The optional leg stabilizers and holding mitts can be used to provide support to the lower limbs and fingers.
- It is also possible to exercise only the upper or lower limbs.
- It is designed so that anyone with a height of at least 135 cm can easily reach the foot pedals.

Aerobic Exercise
Lower-limb exercises that can be easily performed with a comfortable posture
The backrest ensures a stable and comfortable sitting posture and reduces stress on the joints.
- The reduced strain on the back and abdominal muscles allows prolonged lower-limb aerobic exercise without discomfort.
- Because the pedals are moved in a similar motion as an elliptical trainer, it is more effective at strengthening the lower limbs than conventional models.
- People with weak legs can use pedal belts or dedicated rehabilitation pedals (optional) to secure their legs in place.

Able to be used while seated in a wheelchair
The seat can be removed to enable use from a wheelchair,
helping people who have trunk stabilization issues or difficulty moving onto the seat.
Remove the seat.
Unlock and then remove the seat.
Roll the wheelchair up the rails and secure it with the wheelchair fastening belt.
The seat height is the same as that of the wheelchair, allowing the user to maintain the same posture either on the seat or in their wheelchair.
- * This device is compatible with wheelchairs that have wheel widths up to 600 mm.
- * While there is no problem using wheelchairs with footrests that can be rotated out of the way, wheelchairs with flipup footrests require a height of at least 160 cm for use.
Start exercising.
The wheelchair fastening belt is used to secure the base frame to the wheelchair frame. Both wheels of the wheelchair sit on the base plate to keep the wheelchair in place and provide a stable foundation for exercise.
Safe Transfer
Minimal need to straddle the equipment
Walk-through and swiveling seat design
To make it easier for people who have difficulty transferring, it has been designed to have minimal need to straddle the equipment, a swiveling seat, and a seat height (48 cm) that is equivalent to a wheelchair.
Locking function for safe transfer
The handle levers, seat swivel, and sliding movement can be locked for safe transfer.
Compact Design
The compact design allows smaller people to exercise

The pedals are easily within reach so that even smaller people can exercise while maintaining a comfortable
posture.
The panel has also been carefully designed and sits in an easy-to-view position.

Safe and effective exercise program
Four types of exercise programs
The user’s level of fi tness is classifi ed as one of fi ve levels. Based on this classifi cation, one of four exercise programs can be selected to match their condition and goals.
The touch panel can be used to select exercise programs from low to high resistance
- Touch “FITNESS TEST” and enter your information on the user settings screen.
- Touch “START” to start a ten-minute fitness test.
- Based on the results of this fitness test, the user can select one of four types of exercise programs:“CONSTANT PULSE”, “CONSTANT WATT”, “CONSTANT RESISTANCE”, or “QUICK” TRAINING. After setting the target pulse rate, pedal resistance level, and other conditions, the user can start training.
The user wears a pulse sensor to measure their pulse rate. The exercise is stopped if it senses that the pulse rate upper limit has been exceeded.
